Crockett PTO runs on volunteers. Some roles are year-round. Others are project based. All roles pair with a busy life. Current leaders stay available to mentor new people—no one is expected to figure it out alone.

Tasks: Run PTO meetings; set agendas with the board; liaison with Dr. Holmes; help resolve problems (budget, volunteers, timing).
Timeline: Year-round; heaviest August (launch), October (fundraiser season), March–April (Camp Crockett + spring crunch), May (elections, transitions).
Commitment: About 2–6 hours/week on average.

Tasks: Lead meetings if the President is absent; run volunteer and event execution when assigned; support events.
Timeline: Year-round; August–September and February–May are usually the busiest.
Commitment: About 3–8 hours/week in busy seasons; lighter in slower months.

Tasks: Maintain PTO and subaccounts; process reimbursements and payments; help build and track the annual budget; present financial updates; keep sales tax compliance.
Timeline: July–August (budget planning); monthly meeting reports; spikes for fundraisers, Camp Crockett, teacher grants, scholarship awards, and May closeout.
Commitment: About 2–6 hours/week average.

Tasks: Take and distribute meeting minutes; maintain forms, links, and agendas so families and the board see current info; support meeting materials and follow-up lists.
Timeline: Spikes around each monthly meeting and August back-to-school; steady lighter work between.
Commitment: About 1–4 hours/week, with meeting weeks higher.

Tasks: Run named staff recognition days according to calendar (coordinate cards, gifts, social posts); Lead Teacher Appreciation Week in May; support conference-time treats (e.g. snack carts); coordinate with the board.
Timeline: Year-round small tasks; peaks November (Thanksgiving event), December & May (TAW week).
Commitment: About 1–3 hours/week most months; May can feel like a sprint.

Tasks: Actually a co-chair this year. Share chair duties and learn the full system so the event survives chair turnover. Own our largest Spring community event: budget with treasurer, safety and flow, vendors (e.g. bounce houses, games), signage/sponsors, registration and shirt coordination, volunteer structure, debrief and notes for next year.
Timeline: Planning starts January; intensity February–March; event late March; April debrief and lessons learned.
Commitment: Heavy Jan–Mar ( 5–10+ hours/week in peak weeks after Spring Break, before event); minimal outside that window.

Tasks: Lead the fall fundraiser (e.g. Raise Craze): plan launch/close dates, prizes, school coordination, volunteer needs, teacher incentives, debrief and metrics; also steward passive fundraising (e.g. Box Tops reminders). Support Community Partnerships.
Timeline: July–September setup; October peak; November debrief; occasional touch rest of year.
Commitment: High in September–October (~5–10 hours/week in peak); low otherwise.

Tasks: Run a fair, documented scholarship process; recruit scoring committee members; manage deadlines, and notification/presentation coordination.
Timeline: January–May concentrated.
Commitment: About 1–3 hours/week during application season; spikes around committee meetings.

Tasks: Keep SignUp Genius links accurate; promote Mailbox Fairies coverage; recruit volunteers and run “fill the shifts” pushes before big events; event-specific leads (e.g. Camp Crockett check-in captain).
Timeline: Year-round maintenance; spikes before Grandparents Dance/Open House, fundraiser, charcuterie, book fair, Glow Run, Camp Crockett, etc.
Commitment: About 2–6 hours/week;

Tasks: Build and renew sponsor relationships; Recognize sponsors and send thank-yous; maintain the partnership spreadsheet/levels; supply sponsor blurbs for Crockett Connection and event signage as needed.
Timeline: July–October and pre–Camp Crockett are peaks; thank-yous and renewals year-round.
Commitment: About 1–4 hours/week average;

Tasks: Produce the monthly PTO newsletter; monitor the PTO inbox; post to social media regarding critical dates (meetings, sign-ups, appreciation) so families don’t miss them.
Timeline: Year-round; spikes around meetings, fundraisers, and May appreciation.
Commitment: About 2–5 hours/week.

Tasks: Plan and execute fifth-grade traditions (e.g. dance, end-of-year celebrations, BBQ) in coordination with the school and PTO board; recruit volunteers for those events.
Timeline: Late winter through May.
Commitment: Chair often 3–6 hours/week in season.

Tasks: Manage inventory; keep the online store accurate; support sales at events; place Camp Crockett t-shirt order; coordinate with Treasurer on pricing/payouts.
Timeline: August (back to school), February–March (Camp preorder), occasional sales nights.
Commitment: Low most months; spikes around back to school & Camp Crockett.
